Please be aware that NEC E-Proms cannot be used in ST products since their input conditions are incompatible with other
manufacturers.

The following vendors are acceptable:
AMD(Advanced Micro Devices)
Fujitsu
Hitachi
Toshiba
Mitsubishi

Dismantling ST Products

Technical Note: TN003
Subject: DISMANTLING ST PRODUCTS
Users should be aware that screws of two different lengths are used to secure the plastic cover to the base of the 520 and 1040 design computers. The three longest screws are nearest the back and should not be used at the front since they will penetrate the plastic cover and produce visible markings.
